COVID-19 Update

Information on the latest COVID-19 news and booking policies

Dear Traveler:

The past two years have tested us in many ways, both good and bad. As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and the unique challenges it presented, we realize that it helped us to reconsider the types of adventure travel experiences we want to offer to the world.

Travelers are more conscious and selective about where they choose to go these days. That’s why it’s important for us to get closer than ever to our clients and show them places and cultures that will ignite their imagination and reinvigorate their soul. This isn’t just hyperbole, this is who we are. We want to inspire transcendental change through adventure travel. Now, more than ever.

We continue to optimistically look to the future of travel and will offer support to our clients and adapt with the current situation based on local risk assessment, just as we’ve always done. Health, safety, and trust are paramount to us. We are ready to welcome you to Peru!

With our best wishes!

Enrique Umbert

CEO & Co-Founder

Dear Travelers,

Good news! The CDC has cleared fully vaccinated individuals for travel as they are less likely to contract and spread COVID-19.

In addition, effective March 15th, 2021 the Government of Peru has lifted the quarantine requirement for international arrivals into the country. What is now required to enter the country, for all travelers 18 years of age and older, is to show proof of booster against COVID-19. Travelers from 12 to 17 years of age must show proof of being fully vaccinated. Travelers who are not vaccinated must show a negative molecular (PCR), an antigen test or a medical certificate of epidemiological discharge taken within 48 hours prior to arrival. Children under 12 years old are only required to be asymptomatic to board.

If you are still not ready to travel to Peru at this time and are holding a deposit with us, please note that you can contact your travel specialist to arrange a future adventure.

And just to allay any COVID-19-related concerns that you may have about traveling to Peru in the near future, please check our “Health and Safety” page for the most up to date information about current policies. Also, Peru was recently awarded the WTTC “Safe Travels” label given by the World Travel & Tourism Council which recognizes the country’s efforts to maintain tourist destinations as safe and hygienic.

Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns—we are here for you and looking forward to welcoming you to our MLP community.

All the best,

Mountain Lodges of Peru
